Meet the Team
Principal & Founder
Randy Boileau has 33 years of journalism, PR and marketing experience with organizations like the Detroit Free Press, Miami Herald, Bank of America, Comerica, Mazda, Donnelly and Varnum LLP. Since founding Boileau Communications in 2004, the company has grown from a one-man PR shop to an award-winning PR and marketing communications firm. Randy is also an avid outdoorsman and can be found biking, RVing or river fishing in his free time.
Integrator & Creative Director
Vince joined Boileau Communications in 2012 after working three years as an editor for a Holland-based Christian media producer. Since then he’s grown as a visual storyteller and also as a strategic communications specialist. Vince’s thoughtful approach to planning and boundless curiosity for new stories have made him an important asset to our team. A member of the millennial generation with a reverence to old school wisdom, he bridges an important gap, adapting language to suit multiple audiences with effectiveness and authenticity. Vince earned his bachelors in communications from Grand Valley State University in 2008. In his free time, he enjoys strumming any instrument with strings, playing nerdy board games and doubling as a jungle gym for his three kids.
Media Relations & Marketing Specialist
Leanne joined Boileau after directing marketing for a hospitality management company. Through her experience, Leanne developed a rounded knowledge across industries and thoughtful insight into stakeholder perceptions. Identifying creative solutions to tough communications issues, Leanne serves as a valuable partner to our clients and asset to our company. A Grand Valley alumna, Leanne earned her bachelor’s in Advertising and Public Relations. Outside the office, she can be found spending quality time with family, rocking first base in slow pitch softball, or sitting down with a good book in one hand and a glass of wine in the other.
Kelly Vanden Bosch
Kelly blends her natural eye for compelling and beautiful imagery with a level of pragmatism and efficiency uncommon among designers. She understands that design is an extension of message, and draws upon the visual elements best suited to tell the story and encapsulate the brand. A graduate of Grand Valley State University‘s bachelor of fine arts program, Kelly has supported Boileau Communications with print advertising and collateral design, outdoor displays, website design and just about anything we’ve thrown her way. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family on a country homestead in the great plains of Zeeland.
Rachel is the chocolate and peanut butter of strategic marketing and design. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana Wesleyan University, while she fine-tuned her graphic design skills. Rachel has held positions in corporate, nonprofit and freelance roles, giving her a unique perspective and business acumen. Her clean and modern design style combined with her marketing expertise helps her develop the proper messaging and strategy for each project, design or campaign. Outside of work you can find her swing dancing, playing music or enjoying a competitive game of beach volleyball.
Communications Specialist & Photographer
Avery joined Boileau Communications after managing community relations and social media for a local retail franchise. A Grand Valley State University alumna, she studied public relations, advertising, and nonprofit administration. Avery has a passion for holistic storytelling through combining visual arts with compelling copy. Her talents in both content and photography make her an important asset to the team at Boileau. In her free time, Avery is a lifestyle photographer and borderline fashion-addict.
Ben joined BCM after earning his bachelor’s in video production from Grand Valley State University. Skipping the morning coffee, Ben draws his energy each day from the opportunity to be creative. Ben is passionate about creating clear communications through the marriage of motion and message. From concept to product, Ben appreciates the entire video process and the opportunity to collaborate with clients to accomplish their goals. Aside from his amazing video skills, Ben’s unrivaled knowledge of all things geeky makes him the perfect addition to our office trivia team and an incredible asset to fun office debates. Outside of work you can find him writing scripts, playing games both tabletop and board, or hanging with his dog Luna.
A consummate tradesman of web development, design, writing and content strategy, Erich has immense talent in sculpting online communications. Prior to joining Boileau Communications in 2012, Erich spent two years living in Rabat, Morocco, where he consulted with CultureLink International and as a freelance web developer and designer.
