On turning twenty
Paxton Wiers
C/D/H, a technology consulting firm in Grand Rapids, has been with us since we started six years ago. Last Thursday’s celebration marked their 20th anniversary.
A little more than a month prior, C/D/H approached us with a question: what can you do to help us celebrate? So we gathered around the table, poured ourselves some drinks, and got to brainstorming. Ideas ranged from a David Bowie tribute band to unicycling bears—and everything in between—but in the end we settled on a two minute motion graphics piece that would reflect on the past 20 years of success and give some sense of direction to the future.
They loved the idea, and we were ecstatic: motion graphics is still a relatively new and very cost effective medium, so it’s exciting when we get a project that lends itself well to it.
The piece itself came together nicely. C/D/H showed it maybe half a dozen times at their 20th anniversary celebration, but its life is only just beginning. Give it a look in our portfolio or find it here on vimeo.
And because I can’t blog an entry without feeling like there was some kind of “message”, I’ll leave you all with this: thank you to all our clients who trust us to do good work on their behalf. You’re the ones who make our jobs fun.
